I can’t lie, I found out about Rae Khalil from the Netflix series Rhythm and Flow. Being one of many that believed she was “robbed” on the show, I had to hear more from the artist.
The first time I heard this song was when the artist was promoting the music video on their Instagram, it was only the first 12 seconds of the song and I was instantly hooked. I had to hear the rest of the song. The first 15 seconds of peaceful ‘ooo’s that transition onto a lower bass and Khalil adds the vocals.
The strange thing about this track is when you think it's coming to an end as the track fades, you hear a car screech and we enter another stage of the song which is a lot quicker in tempo and Maria becomes a completely different song where you are ready for each transition as they come. This song let's me picture summer on the beach or by the pool soaking up the sun even when it's the middle of winter. It’s an incredibly addictive song that you cannot listen to just once. You will want to hear every part of this song over and over.

I am not a believer that you can only like one genre of music, if a song speaks to me on another level or I just vibe with it; I'm listening to it.
