This track is from Hugo Harrison alias Vanilla, an instrumental hip hop artist based in Oxford, UK. The album from which Lovin’ You is extracted, 'Into the Dream’, was released in 2020. 'Into The Dream' is the third instalment in a trilogy of instrumental albums sampling soul, jazz, funk and ambient music which started with Origin (2015) and Moonlight (2017).
Informed by everyone from J. Dilla to Miles Davis to Radiohead, Vanilla’s own work is a harmonious blend of hip hop, acid jazz, electronic samplings, disco, funk and soul.
From Vanilla’s words, his work is based on ‘soul-sampling and electronic instrumentals’.
A good deal of its music integrates older, jazzy/R&B records. If you were wondering, that's where the hype comes from ;).
The stringed instruments, the beats and the tender voice, create lightness and warmth, getting you in a thoughtful and comforting mood.
Peace - chill everywhere, & keep vibing out.

About the Curator: léa cohen
Music and travel lover, I always loved combining the two. To me, traveling with music felt more complete and music which did not translate in a sense of wonder felt incomplete.
My degree in International Business allowed me to travel for studies and work. I am passionate about cultural diversity, authenticity and all in all, I am a dreamer. Something keep pushing me to always go for what makes me feel alive, no matter how crazy it may sound.
This drive sometimes make me go for the adventure, unstable, or original path. In the past few years I lived on 4 continents. It shaped the person I am today and make me see the world through unique lenses. I am constantly looking for what speaks to my soul as I am someone who is spiritually connected.
