French Cassettes is another west coast band to check out from San Francisco. City Kitty has a raw, acoustic sound that gives off a real and natural vibe.
“Don't take me dancing, I think I want to stay home tonight.” Ironic to the lyrics, this track makes me want to dance! Nothing beats a good guitar riff, and this has just that. City Kitty’s indie-rock tune is an instant like and makes you crave more from French Cassettes. I can picture these guys playing an outdoor summer concert and ending with this song as the sun sets behind the stage.
Bands that compliment French Cassettes by having a similar ambient sound would be Born Ruffians, Cage the Elephant or The Strokes.

When I was 8 years old, I became interested in playing piano after watching my best friend play. Seeing her translate scribbles on a piece of paper and magically turning it into music was fascinating and I knew I just had to learn. After self-teaching through a beginner piano book, I proved my interest allowing me to take lessons for 9 years.
Aside from piano, another hobby of mine is thrift shopping. I love the positive impact thrifting has on the environment. Finding a unique item is equivalent to hearing a new song; never knowing what to expect and searching with an open mind.
I believe music ties the whole world together by being diverse, self-expressive, therapeutic, and heck... just makes you feel awesome!
