"Mr. Davis, You're Famous" is an (original) show tune about a con man played by a punk rock band with a screaming sax solo. Carried by three elements; The crunchy rhythm guitar, the explosive horn section, and the wild drumming, "Mr. Davis, You're Famous" mocks a real-life Boston conman I had the displeasure of knowing. It ends with a ripping sax solo from Tomoki Sanders, going way up into the altissimo range of the tenor sax. Rounded out by Queen-like background vocals, thick fretless bass, and sparse jazzy piano, this song will not disappoint you
This was such a fun song that I really had no choice but to add it to the playlist. The combination of the horns and the powerful electric guitar are incredible. The overall tune has so many twist and turns that its hard to not just stop what you are doing and just follow along with it. Such great vocals on the song too. They fit the mood of the song so well. I would recommend checking out the other tunes from the band as well. Really kick ass!
