I love Kanye West's music, it has found many ways to captivate me and fascinate me during the years, his creativity always finds a way to rediscover new meaning to what has been said and created. You can always feel a deep commitment to sound in his creations and I have always found it very exciting to connect deeply to many of his songs.
The first time I heard "The Life Of Pablo" I was mesmerized, it's difficult to emulate the feeling now because of all the time that has passed but I remember feeling very captivated and moved by most of the music, Wolves was one of my favorite songs, it's such a unique song, starting with the incredible vocal beat made from an amazing singer's voice, and then its dark, almost tragic feel, like a moment when you feel everything's lost. Then come a couple of melodies that make you feel like a struggle to save you, the first one being especially beautiful to me, like an attempt on salvation despite everything being lost. A ray of hope amongst all the darkness.
The song ends with a haunting horn that sounds almost like an elephant, he has also always liked to add effects similar to birds reacting to sound and such, it tends to give the whole sound a special organic strength to the effect.
It's a very special song, hope it makes this night special for all of you.
