There's a stain of blood on the moon and it's demanding our truth.
I heard this song in my head, couldn't remember its name for a while, had to look for it.
The subconscious speaks to us, on the eve before an eclipse, a blood eclipse, the snake with incessant hunger, the dark night of the human soul. The spirit of the emptiness that makes people ignore their pain, try to fill voids with all the wrong answers, try to distract themselves with noise, information and stuff, try to seek for material solutions to a spiritual question.
This is the night before, the prelude to our explosion, the lion roars in pain as the shadow obscures everything it thought it was, the sacrifice is done and the serpent devours everything, the blood fills the moon and reminds us that we're forgetting our elders and our ancestors, the blood reminds us of all the blood lineages, neglected and dishonored, the lack of contact with who we were in the blood of our past relatives, the memories of their pain still stored in our cells.
A painful week, a painful night, filled with strange energy, a potent reminder. We are not honoring ourselves or our past enough, we're not honoring our dead enough. And it all shows, the present is haunting and overflowing with blood, repeating itself, screaming at us in pain. We need to heal, we honor so we can heal.
Let's take this night to reflect and honor, let's take a second, an hour, a day, a week. Remember that we're not individuals, we're links, connections, we need to heal the others to be at peace, especially those who share our blood, because we share their pain, whether we want it or not.
The moon quiets, the evening recedes, but its marks are left on us, forever. There's no going back, only change.
