We are blessed to have great fans on this playlist, fans who send us beautiful music like this next piece, a great instrumental track which combines electronic and acoustic music, touched by the influence of European classical music.
The artist is called PAVANE, a French producer and pianist with great taste for mixtures between the old and the new, he manages to touch our sense of wonder with a piece developed very gently, with a constant background marked by string patterns that help the music evolve and connect all the pieces, a string accompaniment, made by a combination of intervals which also work as a motif and the preparation for the main character of the piece, the flute.
The flute, written with a certain sense of nostalgia for the early twentieth century French composers, like Ravel or Debussy, has a beautiful melody which reminds me a bit of the one from the “Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune”, both melodies that tend to build the character and lead their pieces marking special moments and phases of their development.
It is all put together beautifully to bring us a very special feeling, a tense sense of calmness, a struggle between one calm and evocative theme and the strong brightness of the flute, all of it immersed in a dreamlike state that to me feels even like been in a movie.
