This song made a very strong impact on me. But I must recommend you to see the official video on youtube, not only the music is beautiful, it also bears a powerful speech by Jacques Cousteau, talking about our world and mankind, about the immense challenge we have ahead of us in terms of our most immediate survival as a species.
It breaks your heart when you realize mister Cousteau gave the speech in the seventies, when our world was still very far away from the destruction we've seen today, but it ends with a thread of hope, the hope that mankind is awakening to a new kind of consciousness, cosmic consciousness.
It could be hopeless, could be irreversible, could be too late. But I still keep my hope intact. Because I have witnessed the sight of cosmic consciousness, I have witnessed the vast and infinite amount of possibilities that lie inside of our true essence, I have witnessed the human potential not only inside me but in the eyes of the dozens of incredible people I've known in my lifetime, so I dare to keep my hope intact, I know everything's possible when we're in touch with our true selves and we are, more and more of us, each day.
This is why I'm still here, this is why we're still here, because we know deep down there's hope, that's why we're facing what we are currently facing, because we're developing a new self, facing all we avoided facing all our lives, we have been gifted the opportunity to face ourselves and remember who we truly are, right now and always.
