One of the best and worst things about curating this playlist is confronting all of the memories that these songs bring me. I must confess I have been feeling like I'm going to run out of favorite songs to add to the playlist a few months ago. Somehow they keep popping up on my head and I feel very grateful for it.
I must also confess that I'm not writing this text while listening to the track version I'm going to add to the playlist, like I usually do. I'm writing it while listening to a beautiful acoustic version the band taped as part of a series of acoustic performances they've done over the years, from this album and more recent ones. They're beautiful, not just musically but also visually, since they're taped in natural surroundings and they always find amazing spots to do it.
This song reminds me of 2013, I can't believe it's seven years ago, I just can't believe how fast time moves. It's obvious that most of these songs have some sadness attached to them, one of my best ways to cope with great sadness has been attaching music to it, letting it expand within the song and allowing me to feel the emotion thoroughly and extensively enough to let go. It has many benefits, but it also lets some part of the emotion completely attached to the sound and it tends to rekindle it when I listen to them.
It's also a way to figure out how much of the situations I have truly accepted and let go, but also a way to bring forth new emotions about time and past itself, some with which I've dealt a lot throughout life and that I feel I have grown from quite a lot.
I totally recommend you to listen to the acoustic version, it's on youtube and it's incredible, it takes some real talent to be able to go out in the ocean and just perform your music that beautifully, without any studio or even without much amplification... You really won't regret listening to it.

When you listen to music like this one you also remember what it is to be connected to nature, you remember part of the sound of nature in that organic sound, the wood just resonating to the sound of strings being touched, you remember the essential and feel ready to transport yourself again to the best parts of life.
