I have cried so many times listening to this song. Sometimes I look back and suspect I’ve endured too many dark times, maybe I’m just exaggerated, who knows?
There is an “after” the storm, I’m sure of it, I’m sure there have been times when I’ve felt I’ve passed the storm, I’m sure. It’s just that this storm, this particular storm is especially strong, and a little blinding, because it isn’t only personal. It feels like a general thing, you wake up and see people terrified, a country filled with resentment and hatred, see the enormous pain of so much violence and hate, so many lies… See people taking advantage of all that fear, all that pain just to gain power and divide people, see there is no good outcome possible within the present situation and that people don’t want to hear you talk but be able to shut you up, sometimes circumstances make it hard for you to be hopeful and positive.
But I won’t rot, not on this mind and not on this heart, I won’t rot. I know there will come a time when everything will be alright, I recognize crises as opportunities to heal and cleanse your soul of despair and fear, I know there’s so much to be grateful for and I thank life for allowing me to heal my soul.
I’ll just be patient and remember to see the greater meaning beyond all this destruction, there isn’t really right or wrong, there’s just creation and destruction and both are essential to this world, they just need to have love behind them, no wrong can be done when we realize we’re all connected by this beautiful essence, the true love that shapes us and makes us be alive, no wrong can exist when you realize behind all that destruction there’s just unity, only change, we just need to make all that change a lot more loving and a lot less fearful.
Sorry, I digress… There’s a special promise to this song, “there will come a time, you’ll see”, I’m just sure there will be, so sure of it that all pain becomes meaningful, every bit of pain I feel now is a reason to hope even more. I just wanted to share this promise with all of you, no matter what happens, no matter what you live, there will come a better time, you’ll see.

When you listen to music like this one you also remember what it is to be connected to nature, you remember part of the sound of nature in that organic sound, the wood just resonating to the sound of strings being touched, you remember the essential and feel ready to transport yourself again to the best parts of life.
