"Some" starts with the light but steady drums the backbone and support for the whole song. Just as you start to get comfortable Steve slides in with the confidence and swagger reminiscent of many RnB greats. Lacy shines in a streaming world where his often less than perfect mixes have a bedroom pop quality to them. His very art itself is a love project. A relative "side gig" to his more known role as bass player for the band "The internet".
This song isn't that. It's closer to the heart. It plays closer to a diary entry or a demo. This relaxed feel does just that, puts the listener at ease. It invites them in and says "yea, sorry my rooms kinda messy but I don't mind you seeing cuz we such good friends".
I picked it second as well as "alright" ends with quiet drums and "some" starts with drums that pick the listener up. At only a 1:58 seconds this track is a lighter ingredient, but important in the dish I'm trying to create.

About the Curator - Rooknight
It started the fist time I was handed the aux driving around the Chicago suburbs. It evolved over my 3 years of being a radio Dj at Purdue. Now at 23 years old, I’m ready for the next step in my passion for sharing music. Being apart of the Musicto family.
As a musician myself, I’ve met insanely talented artists who just need a break. So, I've made it my mission. Listening to over 600 full albums in the last two years alone, and creating over 20 playlist on my Spotify. I've been searching. There is so much treasure out there, just waiting to be discovered. I’m just tryna make the map.
