All soccer moms are not created equal.
The stereotypical one conjures up a married, middle class woman from the burbs, rolling in her minivan, lululemon yoga pants, with bedraggled kids trailing behind her. While some soccer moms are basic bitches, others have been linked to prostitution rings. Yes, it is true!
One thing’s for certain, don’t underestimate her.
She just may be bumpin’ this kickass playlist as she peels out of the parking lot after dropping off the carpool at soccer practice.

I don’t know why, but somehow society has added a negative association to the idea of the soccer mom – the stereotype being privileged “stay at home” Karen types who drive their tank size SUVs to practice and hang out drinking Starbucks and eating bon bons.
Yeah – not the soccer moms I know.
The soccer moms I know are juggling careers, extended family, husbands or partners and somehow managing to carve out time to get the kid (or kids) to practice after school. Their weekends are a combination of matches or birthday parties and are often spent traipsing up and down the state, spending the family budget on kit, hotel rooms and junk food ‘cos the rooms don’t have a kitchen and who can eat out all the time?!
Soccer moms create the same opportunities for their children as Football dads but we don’t bitch about them – even when the toxic masculinity pops out every now and then.
Soccer moms don’t need your scorn – (not that they care) – what soccer moms need is energy – which is why we have created this wonderful playlist for them. 22 tracks that reflect the nature of the women we know – arranged in order of increasing energy to keep them going on that long drive home!

About the Curators
Molly Taylor
I was born and raised in Southern California. My first musical memories were listening to Donna Summers records in my living room on repeat and plunking out Heart and Soul on our untuned piano. Flash forward to the age of iPods where my friends and I would create massive playlists for every occasion in our carefree lives. I still treasure these playlists and always have a big smile when I hear them. After a long career of teaching elementary school I took a hiatus to raise my family and now work as a digital marketer, which led me to my friendship with Andrew who became my valued mentor. I have a great love of music simply because it moves my soul. If you're looking for help with your digital presence - you can learn more about my marketing business here. Happy listening!
Andrew McCluskey
The first visual memory I have is that of the white upright piano in Singapore, Hell and the Dark Forces lived at the bottom, Heaven and the Angels at the top, they would play battles through my fingers and I was hooked.
As a psychology graduate I studied how sound affects human performance.
As a musician I compose instrumental music that stimulates your brain but doesn't mess with your language centers, leaving you free to be creative and brilliant without distraction.
As a curator I research how music can improve your life and create flow - I can tell you what music to listen to when studying for a test and why listening to sad music can make you feel better.
As a creator / contributor at musicto I’m part of a global creator community that collaborates through music. You can learn more about our community here.
