I gotta….. I gottta…. I gotta.. I gotta pocket got a pocket full of sunshine. I’m sure some of you guys remember how Emma Stone in “Easy A” absolutely drove the audience hysterical by her solo number dancing and singing along to a singing card playing this song. Natasha Bedingfield gave a gift to her audience by giving life to this song. Some may just hear and feel an energized rhythm and mid 2000s nostalgia, however this song is about finding an escape from the hard times. Being Resilient in those difficult times in life is so important. It's easy to forget how interconnected we all are as human beings walking down our lives with arms interconnected.
Music is what I have always used as a tool for me to release my frustrations and understand my feelings. When you hear a song that really connects with how you are feeling, or what you need, you instantly feel less alone in this world. That is what my goal is for this playlist, connect each and everyone of us together, giving us a tool we can use to combat those difficult times, and maybe even smile and dance through them like idiots together. Natasha Bedingfield, thank you for your work of art in “Pocket Full of Sunshine” and welcome to our awesome journey!

About the Curator - Jesse Simons
If there is one thing in all of existence that can possibly perk Jesse up more than a fresh dark roast coursing through his veins, it’s philanthropy work. His drive and passion for helping those in need is what he believes refines him the most as a strong, confident character.
Constantly inviting challenges to solve, you’ll be “cold pressed”, (caffeine is clearly essential), to find another person who looks as dashingly good looking in both a freshly pressed suit, and the same pair of sweatpants he’s put off washing from a few too many evenings couch surfing.
Jesse’s love for all genres of music started when he realized the power of music in the human experience. He believes each musician is the creative equivalent of a tectonic plate fault line. When musicians spread their art into the world, that fault line shifts, sending waves of raw emotion pouring from the track into the individuals absorbing it. Jesse came to the understanding that musicians weren’t just imperative to the human experience, they ARE the human experience.
From that day forward he has done everything in his power to help artists of all backgrounds and sound, spread their craft.
