This week Music to Sing Out Loud brings a contemporary jazz song by Tássia Reis, an awesome brazilian singer. "Try" has simple lyrics and talks about a false attempt to stop drinking.
"I know it's complicated, but I'm stopping tomorrow. Tomorrow I will try"
What makes us sing out loud in this song is the pleasant voice of Tássia. In addition to the lyrics of the song, she sings the sound of the instruments, something recurring in this musical genre. Tássia is a singer from São Paulo who mixes jazz, hip-hop and R&B in her songs, besides introducing other genres in her discography. Her latest work is the album Próspera, a work that brings topics such as love, self-knowledge and breaking standards.
