As a jellyfish who generally inhabits colder waters, people often ask me this.  When it snows on the ocean, does it ever stick?  Does your home become like a salt-water slushy?  The answer, of course, is yes.  The ocean itself can also freeze.  I know I was welcoming the arrival of spring only 2 weeks ago, but there has been a bit of a turnabout back into winter where this jellyfish stays.  

Salt water can even be colder than the snow itself.  And there's not a lot a jellyfish can do about it.  We don't have jellyfish sweaters or jellyfish blankets.  We don't huddle together for wamth.  Our approach is very simple.  We stay the same temperature as the water itself, and thus we never feel the cold.  We're actually quite clever.  

This week's track is about snow and cold -- in Brampton (Canada), a place that knows about cold.  It's a sweet song that warms this jellyfish from within.
