Let’s talk about the Toronto based band Badbadnotgood. You’ve definitely heard them even if you didn’t realize it. They’ve worked with pretty much every big name artist. Kaytranada, Tyler The Creator, Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis and even the Wu Tang Clan. These four Toronto boys have been busy pretty much since 2012 as they gained popularity being the go to guys when it comes to authentic jazz or R&B.
They’ve quietly released four albums on their way to super-stardom. With another project coming up this year it’ll be pretty damn hard to ignore them even if you're not aware. If this song is indication of their skill level you should instantly understand how versatile these guys are. Seeing them live was amazing. Their performances are just as tight in person. From the drums to the saxophone they sound exactly the same live.
I honestly hope they get the recognition they deserve. All your favorite artists respect them. Now it’s our turn, let’s lift Badbadnotgood into the stratosphere for the world to see. Because sometimes the true stars are working in the background.

Make Me Feel Like Your Bitch – Parallelephants
23 August 2018
Parallelephants are a local synth pop band based out of San Antonio TX. Since I currently reside there, I’m pretty hip to what’s popular as far as local talent goes. This is my favorite local band and they don’t half as much love as they deserve in my opinion. Their unique blend of electronic, alternative and hip hop gives them a unique voice in the city that can’t be easily replicated.
Starfruit LA – Choker
16 August 2018
Choker is back for his second EP Honeybloom and I couldn’t be happier. Seemingly out of nowhere he dropped this project with little to no promotion. Not one for social media, only sporting a Twitter account that tweets about twice a year. Choker mysteriously crept back onto the scene with a cryptic tweet stating that his new project was out now. He’s the type of artist who communicates through music only. And he has every right to because Honeybloom is amazing from start to finish.
