This has been my Sun B track ever since Saje released his new EP. I had been waiting for him to release another track that I can effortlessly put in my yoga classes since his track "Lost Tonight" swept accross Spotify back in 2014, and the track finally arrived four years later.
There are countless ways yoga speaks to people, ranging from building stability and groundedness in your life, to building flexibility and softness around your stiff lower back, or to forcing you to take a deeper look in at your own emotions. The best part about "Take Care of You" is that he manages to pull all three together in just under four minutes.
"Take Care of You" lulls you into a sense of serenity with a warm synth and a light bouncy tempo that keeps your body wanting to move as your mind forces yourself to sit just a little bit lower in your Warrior 2. Saje creates an emotional ambiance with his lyrics meshing flawlessly with mood of the track as the song progresses. "I didn't know it was over" repeats throughout the song, as if he is lost in this loop of heartbreak. Yet at the same time, the phrases repeated come as a stark contrast to the overall tone of the song, as if his background medium to guides him towards mental stability and groundedness.
I invite you to play this track next time you are divining into your own personal practice, you certainly won't regret it.
