Earth | Air | Fire | Water.
These four essential elements of life appear repetitively throughout yoga classes, and often materialize in the teacher's themes or in the music style of the playlist. You'll have earthy, homey music in a grounding class, or flowly, dreamy, water-like tracks when a class is about the natural uncertainty in life.
When I stumbled across "Rain" by O R I O N, I was ecstatic, you'll see why when you listen. It's rare that a song is able to cohesively capture so many different emotions and elements. "Rain" is so versatile, which is why I absolutely love this piece. Through the deep, spacey synths you can feel grounded and assured, while at the same time the drowning, distant vocals leave you wandering aimlessly towards an unknown destination.
I love playing this song toward the end of my class which gives students an opportunity to check in and explore where their mind is. You can really take this track anywhere as you let the futuristic ambiance guide you through life's unknown.
So dive into this track and allow yourself to explore exactly what your mind and body needs right now.
