RY X first swept across the yoga community when he was featured on Odesza’s album “A Moment Apart.” Since then, myself and yoga teacher’s alike have fallen in love with his subtle tones and whisper-like cadence. I love placing his songs either at the beginning or right at the end of my classes right when my student’s minds are most susceptible to the great passion and emotion he creates.
“Howling” emits a deep and powerful emotion as RY X connects to you with a simple, soothing guitar riff and airy yet powerful voice. His pain becomes yours as the song progresses, lyric by lyric, verse by verse. As you begin to move during your practice you begin to feel his struggle; but you also learn the power behind moving and pushing through these emotions.
So dive on in and give this track a listen and take in whatever emotions come at you, knowing full well you have the power to push pass.

About The Curator - Cam Bigelow
Cam is a music and yoga fanatic where he spent the last few years honing his skills and passion in the heart of beautiful Boulder, Colorado. He is always on the hunt for the next song that will “wow” his students and will take his class to the next level. When not obsessing over his playlist for the 12th time or teaching on his mat, you can find Cam exploring all the nature Boulder has to offer, jamming out on his ukulele, and perfecting his bacon-wrapped scallop dinner.
