The most incredible aspect of life's complex simplicity is it's unwavering cyclical nature. From the natural highs that we feel when we are in tune with our passion and way of life, or find that one special person that makes our heart sing, to those bitter lows in what we feel no escape from, this oscillation permeates all throughout. But it's when we take a step back and admire both of our lives' highs and lows that we can truly appreciate all that life has to offer.
Yoste (rhymes with lost) generates that same awe with his hauntingly dreamy track "Arc." Although minimalistic in his approach, his ambiance allows you to experience this track in a multitude of ways. In your highest highs you can bask in your shining, natural glow as you feel the universe surround you. However, in your lowest lows this track allows you to wallow in your darkest despair, urging you at a chance of escape. It's this balances of light and dark, good and evil, high and low, that makes this song truly unique and special.
I love playing this track in the middle of my class (or Sun C for your yogi and yoginis out there) as that's when the mind truly begins to drop in as you can feel yourself push past any physical and mental barriers you set up for yourself. This song allows my students to find this song in moment of bliss, a moment of anguish, or another moment altogether. Having both emotions present simultaneously speaks volumes about Yoste's musical abilities and allows students to find what they are looking for not only in their own practice, but in themselves.
So go on and give this track a listen. No matter what area of life you are going through, this song will be a perfect fit.
