Talk about a band that deserves some recognition, Baggage, fronted by Jonathon “Jono” Diener, ex-member of the Swellers, talks about the hardships and reality of being in a band and the “Horseshoe” it feels like, in this week’s featured song “Horseshoe”.
While “Horseshoe” focuses on a lot of the misfortune the band has faced recently with “van break ins and van breakdowns” they claim it felt like the world didn’t want Baggage to exist, but after packing the room full of fans this past weekend at The last Bled Fest ever, and me, having the honor to catch their set, I think we would all beg to differ!
“Horseshoe” features a very raw sound, as if you’re in the same room as them playing. They’re not hiding behind any big effects and get back to the true sound of a very melancholy rock n roll. The lyrics tell the truth, and by the last chorus, you’ll being “Youuu, you’re in a Horseshooooe”
With their album “out soon” via Smart Punk Records, go check out Baggage, and their brand new single “Horseshoe” now streaming on the MusicTo Keep Pop Punk Alive playlist.
