Now I know I promised this week we'd be sticking with indie games but something came back across my radar and I had to find a crappy game it featured on in order to wedge it into the list. So here you go.
Nobody remembers Forza Motorsport 6 and nor should they. Sure it was well reviewed, driving games often are, and yet nobody really seems to care much for them.
Because they're dumb.
They're really really dumb.
They seem to be pitched somewhere between the NASCAR crowd and people who really want to have a mid-life crisis but are too afraid to upset the apple cart by actually... like.. doing stuff . New stuff. Scary stuff. Dumb stuff.
But they can buy dumb games that let them pretend to do dumb things and is that where Forza comes in. Don't play it.
What everybody does remember is Electric Six. I remember them vividly because I spent a very enjoyable night one month ago listening to them play music to me in the sweaty flesh.
I also remember Danger! High Voltage from their debut album Fire. Mostly because the video disturbs me to this day. In fact it disturbed me earlier today when I re-watched it and also got to watch someone else watching it for the first time. Pure bliss.
Electric 6ix a great band and I've always reserved a special place in my heart for people who don't take themselves too seriously. But Electric Six don't take anyone else seriously either and that's a lot of their appeal.

Which is weird. But also makes perfect sense.
These guys release a lot of music. One album a year, at least, for the past 13ish years and that's not counting Dick's solo albums.
Their new one "How Dare You" is pure class. Stream it. But buy it too. These guys deserve your support.
But in the meantime, don't play Forza 6 and do listen to Electric 6 Danger ! High Voltage.
