After a long time (almost 4 months…), I’m back to this beautiful place missing it a lot. That’s why this week we are having a great song focusing on this pleasant place and that me, you, them, everybody! (too much Blues Brothers) are crazy!

If you think about this song, you’ll probably related to the 90’s music, but is actually from 2006. 2006!!! Weird moment to come up with a song like this. Style not really on the right era (apart from the loop of bass and drums during the whole track which you can relate it to rap, but! rap is not 2000’s my luff… It could’ve got stronger in the industry but is not 2000’s at all), with such a neat and beautiful voice made this mix a big historic hit.

There are uncountable covers and many of them are amazing. We also have some of the artists of Music to Open Another Door doing a cover of this song and they will be shared.

This week we will focus on what happens when a song like this one impacts on this world. Stay tuned and never lose this groove.

About the curator - Rodrigo Medrano

At a very early age, music had an incredible impact on Rodrigo’s life. He was never able to listen to lullaby songs; instead he was served Guns n’ Roses and Aerosmith for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

At the age of 12, he became a melomaniac, collecting albums, EP’s, recording sessions, and researching every kind of genre. All this helped him to get his first job at a recording studio where he realized his life would forever revolve around sound and music.

Working on cruise ships as First Audio Technician allowed him to let loose his passion and expand his knowledge on psychoacoustics, eventually promoted up to being in charge of sound for the hit broadway shows: Rock of Ages and Burn The Floor.

His music library will never stop growing as his melomania will get worse and worse.
