That was the opening to an article Chris wrote for Esquire back in 2010 – my writing style is kinda similar. There’s just something about having headphones on – good ones, not necessarily super expensive but decent enough like my Sony MDR-7506 Studio Monitors – that seems to create a hermetically sealed writing environment for me.
I’d never heard of The Album Leaf but I have absolutely fallen in love with this track – ambient wordless music is brilliant when you want to hack out words of your own. Oh – and when you read the first post pinned to the top of their Facebook page – I hope you’ll like them even more!
