About this Playlist
“Songs to reimagine the Black in America experience, one that aspires to the utopian dream prophesied by our ancestors, while guided by the dystopian nightmare of those same ancestors. A playlist to prove Black is more than beautiful. Black is inclusive. Black is love. Black is hope. Dream in Black.”
This playlist comes from musicto’s desire to place our community firmly behind the Black Lives Matter movement in America. The Black American curators worked together as a team to come up with the playlist name and description which was then shared with the whole community who contributed tracks. The list was then edited for content and flow.
It truly is an inspirational list, a product of different experiences and backgrounds coming together towards a shared vision. We’re grateful to everybody who contributed to the playlist and offer our special thanks to Doran and Sabrina who stepped up to lead the project.
