Confession: my musical taste in high school was random, varied, and at times questionable. As a sheltered, geeky theater kid, it was all over the place. There are some bands I loved back then that I would not dare include on this playlist, but the Weakerthans is not one of them. Reconstruction Site is one of the few albums I loved from my high school days that I feel I can look back on without embarrassment and still love.
This is just such a blatantly fun song with the most bizarre lyrics. I really don't know what it's about, but honestly, I don't care. It's an endearing song that puts a smile on my face. Unfortunately, the band is no longer together, but this song and album never get old to me.
