This song snuck up on me. At first listen, it is catchy and lovely, one of those breezy, atmospheric songs that are perfect for listening to when you're driving at dusk. Then I read through the lyrics and that's when all the feels hit me.
I adore the lyrics because they're an incredibly accurate portrayal of what it's like to fall in love, with all the excitement but also the nervousness, doubt, initial awkwardness, and the sorts of arguments that take place in your own head over it.
This is a familiar story that has been done in every art form there is; but there's something about the way vocalist Ellie Roswell puts it that is so relatable in a raw sort of way that just captured me. The ending is nothing if not encouraging and uplifting.

About the curator - Becky Welch
Becky has been a music-obsessed, compulsive playlist maker and live music enthusiast for as long as she can remember. Few things delight her more than sharing music and geeking out with people who care as much about it as she does. She plays piano and “plays” the ukulele and guitar. She likes almost every genre but is mostly drawn to fun songs that make her dance with abandon.
