I love it when I get song submissions I dig so much I'm compelled to check out the rest of the band's work. If you're like me and you love a funky classic rock vibe with hints of Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, and the Arctic Monkeys, be warned, listening to this song will prompt a deep dive through the band's Soundcloud and Bandcamp pages. The Schwa describes their style as a combination of a "classic britpop sound with a grittier American style" and it couldn't be more infectious. If you like to rock but you also like to dance, this is a band to become a fan of.
The Schwa consists of Eric Intile, Garrett Victor, and Cooper Phillips from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The band released their first EP, The Second Avenue, in May 2017, and just released this single in March 2018. A full-length album is in the works, and I for one will be following. If you dig this song, I highly encourage you to go on that deep dive through the rest of their songs.
