Afrobeats is for all lovers of good music, both the old and the young.

The word Afrobeat is an umbrella term for contemporary pop music made in West Africa and the diaspora. It gets its distinct sound from a couple of different influences, highlife music, american jazz, funk and a couple more, creating a hybrid sound from across continents.

You’ll enjoy listening to Afrobeats records because of their rhythm, heavy percussion, melodies and most times their upbeat tempo.

It is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing out of Ghana and Nigeria and can also be known as Afro pop or Afro fusion.
