I first encountered Akisai through a playlist channel on Youtube, which led me to their official channel and music video for this track.
Really enjoyed how they use minimal glitch/electronic elements to support the acoustic guitar/piano driven performances - gives it much more movement and life than a purely electronic sound palette.
It is worth noting that Akisai is a sound-visual performance duo, where their live shows actively incorporate visual elements to go with the music.
Akisai’s label, Schole Records, is also host to a number of artists that I have come to enjoy a lot - some of them will definitely be on this playlist soon!
