"Egyptian Luvr" is a perfect fusion of funk and hip-hop that complements the vibe of a picnic. Kaytranada's production features a balance of groovy drums and bright synths to create a chill atmosphere. Also, the harmonious background vocals add depth to the instrumental and soothe my soul on every listen.
Dana Williams has a very understated and sweet singing voice on the track, which matches the calm spirit of the song. Rejje Snow harmonizes with Dana on some parts, while also rapping with flows that ride the beat flawlessly. And Amine's guest verse is another highlight of the track and also lightens the mood with humor.
The message of "Egyptian Luvr" strongly resonates with me. In the lyrics, Rejje Snow and Dana Williams talk about leaving past sorrows behind and living life like there is no tomorrow. I used to always hold on to past mistakes and worry about the temporary nature of human life. But, through meditation and other healthy habits, I am teaching myself to appreciate the present moment. And even though life will end eventually, that gives us more reason to make the best of our time and enjoy it.
Overall, "Egyptian Luvr" is my favorite song from Rejjie Snow. This song is my go-to on a warm, sunny day. And the song's substance is very inspirational, especially during tough times.
