This track, and his music in general, is super funky but also profoundly unique. The funny thing is, "Nobody Can Be You" expresses that very message. You do you.
Despite James Brown's rule of law, bass-lines can still boogie even if they don't start on the 1. Steve's music has a specialty of having the perfect parts form together like a puzzle. These lyrics are awe-inspiring. Little trinkets all over the track. The production is 1982 in the best of ways. This groove is the truth.
