Sometimes a song title truly describes the track. Sometimes a track is so fresh, it needn't have the vocals. LA based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and music-crafter Kosie has found a striking balance of sounds with this song from his solo album Beauty Sleep. The tones at play here are marvelously true and proper. Gentle Swag is a bull's-eye for this playlist.
Kosie is an artist with a strong interest and ability for harmony. But he is aware that it must groove on the surface, and that mixing in his swirling layers of complexity takes a thoughtful, musical approach. You can listen closely and grab everything with your ears, or just hang back to let the synth and drums do the work. Swag can be subtle. This track will have you rolling into any situation feeling 10 feet tall, with a smile, and a head nod.
