Unrequited Love?
I’d posit that unrequited love is the norm - at least for a while.
The romantic idea that you both fall in love at the same time is ridiculous - unless you’re Clarence in True Romance - preparing to go for it and letting the chips “fall where they may” - for most of us this is an organic feeling that can’t be rushed and rarely do we work on the same schedule.
The issue at hand is - what happens when you have fallen in love and your partner hasn’t?
What do you do when you’re in love and they aren’t?
This song is on the Grieve To list but you know what - I think it should be on the “Incredibly Romantic I Love You” list.
What’s going on here:
Our protagonist is already in love - has already leapt of the proverbial cliff - is standing at the bottom - looking up - urging, hoping, praying that their beloved will join them.
And yet - the object of their passion isn’t ready - isn’t ready to fall - to jump - to change - and yet - ‘cos she says what she’s feeling - she’s asking for time - asking for - what - what exactly is she asking for?
Here’s what Danny had to say when he submitted the track:
Don’t know about you - but I’m stoked that they’re now together! Mind you - if you can write a track like this - you’re probably not going to be single long!
Good luck out there Danny - thanks for a great track!

The first visual memory I have is that of the white upright piano in Singapore, Hell and the dark forces lived at the bottom, Heaven and the Angels at the top. They would play battles through my fingers and I was hooked.
After my dad died I was very sad - I couldn't play for a while and when I did, the music that came out reflected my grieving state. I wrote an album of solo piano music called Music to Grieve to - from which the idea of the Music to community originated.
If you'd like to know more you should read Nicole's fabulous article on why listening to sad music can make you feel better.
