Some tracks just have a way of bringing you into a specific state of mind - I wasn't thinking of the music to grieve to playlist when I heard this but I couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards.
Like many of the solo piano tracks on this playlist there's a simple, haunting repeating melody that just wraps you up and forces you to reflect. Tracks like this are not vehicles for the artists chops or technical wizardry - they're vehicles for the emotions of the listener - we are the star, not Tristan and for music that is designed to let the listener look inward, that's how it should be.
