“Hard As Stone was written about a realization that it didn’t matter where you were in life as long as you were comfortable with the people around you. The story behind the song was about getting lost in the mountains when mist came down but not really caring as I’d become content with who I was with.
It is a song of optimism despite its haunting feel and would suit this playlist well as I feel that people would relate to it and I can only hope it would help them to recover from a loss.”
I've been listening to this on repeat most of the morning - I love Duncan's voice and the track is beautifully simple and understated - I completely agree how it could act as a safe place for someone grieving to fall and start the journey back up again.
