Time Is Dancing – Ben Howard

“Hold it in, now let's go dancing

I do believe we're only passing through”

When was the last time you looked at the stars? Not just glance at them, but stared at them long enough that it started to look like they were dancing. Just because they’re far away doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

A couple days ago I laid on the warm concrete driveway staring aimlessly at the sky because no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t identify one constellation. I laid there in company of a friend simply listening to the music of the late-night chirping crickets and feeling free. Free from all the stress and utterly useless things that fill my head during the day. Moments like this help me distinguish what is real because all the noise in my head is quite enough for me to think clearly. And what I realize every time is that I only have one life, so I should spend more time dancing rather than stressing. 

Don’t let those little things bring you down because in a larger sense everything will be okay. Hopefully you’ll look back and only think of warm smiles and good times, but don’t forget to thank the stars because they were always there for you.
