The Drums have been active since 2008, and currently there is only one founding member still in the band. The initial members formed after meeting at bible camp when they were pre-teens. They went on to support artists like Bombay Bicycle Club, Florence and the Machine. This track is from their most recent album 2017 Abysmal Thoughts, which could be described as the introduction to a new era due to the shift in active members.
I felt like this was an appropriate songs to follow Dreamers because its upbeat somewhat positive, but somewhat sad. This is type of song that you can blast in the car and scream the chorus at the top of your lungs whether you’re happy or sad about something. I can see it being featured in an indie coming of age story or as the background song for that video you made about your vacation last summer.

About the Curator - Ashlee Villasenor
Ashlee Villasenor is a senior at Austin College who watches too much Netflix and listens to her music a bit too loud. Her passion for music stems from a childhood full of sleeping on chairs at concerts to singing at the top of her lungs with her dad in the car to every new album he bought her. She's a Tumblr obsessed vegetarian, an animal-lover, a "let's share our feelings through music" kind of girl, who you will never catch without her journal and her pen in hand.

This feels like a song I would have played on repeat while I was in middle school.
The difference is that in middle school I would have said love was real, right now that’s hard to believe, especially at first sight.
