This song is about going out to the club, socializing and meeting someone you like that interests you enough to wanna take them home and sleep with them. The song is upbeat and does a good job of getting you in the mood for the moment. It's like a high end appetizer/audible foreplay that preludes the rest of the evening. The song is like the little sister of the FutureSex/LoveSounds era and that is saying something. "Neon Lights" happens to be one of my top favorites songs by Demi Lovato among the ranks of "Cool For The Summer" "Confident" and "All Night Long".
"Neon Lights" was released as the third single from Demi Lovato's fourth studio album "Demi" on November 19, 2013 with the album being released on May 14, 2013. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart. Demi also did a standalone tour for the track entitled "The Neon Lights Tour" which ran from February 9, 2014 to June 16, 2014 with the "Demi World Tour" following later that fall. Currently Demi is on tour right now with DJ Khaled & Kehlani as part of her "Tell Me You Love Me" tour to promote her latest album "Tell Me You Love Me" which was released on September 29, 2017. She is one of the finest vocalists of our generation.
