When I first heard this song there was just something about it that was so innocent, sexy yet dirty at the same time. It paints a deep, intricate, spontaneous fantasy. "Desire" by Years & Years just blows my mind every time I listen to it. It makes one feel young, wild and free and makes one constantly and consistently crave adventure.
One thing this song carries in particular for me is that it causes me to reminisce about that first hookup. Those memories are indeed very precious to me and everyone else who has experienced vibes as beautiful as these.
When Years & Years first came on the scene in 2014 they were definitely a force to be reckoned with. Upon the release of this week's song back in 2015 they became somewhat of a relatively household name and when their debut album "Communion" was released in July of 2015 it was a hit amongst critics and ended up receiving positive reviews and hailed as one of the top albums of the year.
A re-release of "Desire" was released in 2016 which featured Tove Lo which also was a modest success. The song also received a remix from a DJ/Producer Gryffin which was featured on the "We Are Your Friends" soundtrack which happens to be a favorite track amongst EDM fans.
As of 2018, we are still awaiting a fresh, new studio album of original material from Years & Years. Let us hope that we get some new music from them.
