The sun is finally coming out after what seems like a lifetime of rain and clouds and the birds of spring have finally started to chirp. This calls for some feel-good music, and with daylight savings giving us an extra hour of light to vibe to, there is no better time to share this tune.
Hunna by Nebu Kiniza is a fresh track that will put you in all of your feels and have you praying that the sun never sets. I listened to Hunna while walking to my 10AM lecture this morning and my mind felt clear and blissful. The song is about love, and as the title suggests, keeping it one hunna. "Sometimes when you gone, I feel so alone, Keep it a hunna, Party to the sun up". This lyric right here. This is the one that will have you coming back for more. While somewhat depressing in the sense that Nebu misses his lover, the song quickly switches to a party vibe. Nebu sings like his issues do not matter to him because he is able to forget it all through partying and keeping it a hunna. Whatever that means...
I am not lying when I say that the music in this playlist is addictive. This track has been stuck in my head for a few hours now and I have no complaints. The chorus is addicting and the track is hard to forget. Nebu produced the track himself and did a great job. You might recognize his voice from the 2016 banger Gassed Up that was on a lot of the youths playlists. I have not heard much from him since and am hoping that he gains some more exposure from Hunna. While the lyrics are predictable and the beat is somewhat generic, it works. It is catchy, the flow is on point, and the recipe Nebu has cooked up has proven to work with over 200,000 plays on Soundcloud.
Give Hunna and all the other tracks in the playlist a listen + make sure to follow all of Music To Get Addicted To's social media accounts. As usual, prepare to get addicted!
