Sometimes there are tracks that you are ashamed you love, while at the same time complete your soul. Personally, this is one of them.
Home Body is an R&B track that discusses sex, drugs, and women. While provocative, the background piano and melody is beautiful and enticing. I was addicted after a few listens and the song has remained in most of my playlists since.
Lil Durk is the star of the song, projecting his vocal abilities and meshing them together with his fresh style of rapping. He tells a story of a female that prefers to stay at home instead of going out - a homebody. He uses this phrase as a way to encapsulate the positive effects of her choice to stay home, and how it allows him to have sex and do drugs with her more often. Rapper Gunna joins on a later verse, spitting bars about similar subjects. My favorite part of the track is from TK Kravitz - a surprising feature that I had never been exposed to. The few lines he says in the track are perhaps the most addictive and flow the most with the beat.
The track is addicting and different from the generic songs you hear on the radio. The wavy beat and groovy vocals from all three artists on the track make for a track that will make you sit in your room all night listening - turning you into a homebody.
