Damage is one of the latest releases from R&B singer Che. He boasts his vocal abilities and his skills as a producer on the track, singing about being damaged from a loved one. With lyrics like "thinking about you seems to sometimes haunt me", and "she pushing me away and I don't know what to say", Che shows his emotional connection to this woman, and the unexplainable emotions he feels towards her. He seems to be so in love with this girl that he can't manage to get away from her. Her love, her body, and the memories with her are controlling him and despite all the things they have been through, he still loves her.
The beat starts off with a guitar melody, layered over a choppy R&B beat that let his raw vocals shine. Che has a style similar to The Weeknd and Bryson Tiller, using moody beats and vocals to create a unique style. Damage does a great job of highlighting the depth to his artistry and talent, with high notes that leave your arms covered with goosebumps and a beat that is perfect for the holiday season. The track is simply beautiful and left me replaying it over and over again.
Damage (Freestyle) is an amazing track with an addictive beat and vocals that make it Music To Get Addicted To's track of the week. As usual, prepare to get addicted!
