London multi-instrumentalist and producer Tom Misch's silky voice delivers simple, meaningful lyrics, over a seamless blend of soul, hip hop and guitar-focused jazz. Just 23 years old, he's already released two beat tapes and two full-length albums, including his most recent release, "Geography." He has millions of streams on Spotify, and it's easy to understand why.
The instrumental of "Follow," from his 2016 "Reverie" album, drew me in, but after a few more listens, I realized how much the lyrics hit home for me: "I know you feel good here/ in a space of your own/but time should make you realize/there's more than this." His message is clear: keep pushing beyond what you thought was possible - beyond the limitations imposed from around us and within us. As he repeats the hook, his sister helps drive the point home with her crisp saxophone melodies. Complemented with the boom bap beat, jazzy bass, electric piano, and his vocal stylings, this is the perfect track to lay back and reflect to.

About the Curator, Caitlin Moss:
Drum set player and percussionist Caitlin Moss was born and raised in Los Angeles. She has performed at such venues as the Skirball Center and the Ford Amphitheatre and has toured nationally and internationally, including performances in Mexico and Cuba, with Grammy-winning bands La Santa Cecilia and Quetzal. She performs and records in Los Angeles as a freelance musician and as a member of several original bands. Caitlin is also teaching drum set, percussion, piano, and music production classes at a youth arts center operated by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
