This track by Kali Uchis featuring Tyler, The Creator and Bootsy Collins is from her 2018 album Isolation. This R&B/Soul track embodies life using a comparison with the weather. Everybody goes through hard times but her message is to encourage yourself and to not give up. Storms always end and sunshine will come afterwards, just like in life. Sometimes life will be hard, and you will have doubt, but it will not be like this forever. Everybody has hard times in their life, but the only person who can change your perception on your situation is yourself.
As Kali Uchis expresses times are rough but winners don't quit, never give up because the storm will end. Believe that things will get better and put your mind at ease, try not to worry about all the things that have upset you or made you anxious. If you want to live in the moment, look at who you are in the mirror, a real human with imperfections surrounded by the imperfections of the world. Riding the storm is never going to be easy, but it is the sunshine and warmth after that is worth the time. So during this hard time, take each day at a time.
Are you done with the darkness and the rain? If you want some sunshine and motivation take a listen to this empowering track, you will feel ready to conquer your fears and hard times even during the storm.

About The Curator - Caylyn Downey
I am a college student in northeast America studying neuroscience, music, and studio art. I am interested in art and music therapy to help teach mindfulness. My goal is to understand how playing and listening to music and doing art can help teach you to live in the moment. In this day and age, many people are stuck in the past or predicting and worrying about the future. My goal as a music curator is to encourage people to limit their worrying and to focus on what is happening right now. I have always made playlists that many of my friends have enjoyed, it is something I enjoy to do as well because music has always been a huge part of my life. I want listeners to be able to only think about what they hear and see in the moment, this way their worries and fears will not be consuming them.
