Olivia Castriota is a New-York based songwriter and powerhouse vocalist. Her brand of music combines raw vocals with smooth pop hooks, similar to artistes such as LÉON and Zara Larsson. Her emotionally-charged track “Fixed” finds Olivia accepting her flaws, as she speaks out on her battles with self-love and anxiety.
The chorus is the high point of this tremendous composition and finds Olivia’s strong vocals taking center stage, matching the perfectly crafted production with ease. The song fades out with her vocals in reverb, with the enrapturing beat matching the elegant vocality stride for stride.

A CONVERSATION WITH OLIVIA CASTRIOTA:Tim: How long have you been an artiste?
Olivia: I've been singing my entire life but I quit my 9-5 office job in 2014 to pursue music full time.
Tim: What/Who inspired you to become an artiste?Olivia: I've always been inspired by powerful women like Joss Stone, Melissa Etheridge, Christina Aguilera, Etta James, Amy Winehouse... you get the idea. Women who hit the mic and let everything out on the stage. Women who were fearless in their stage presence and vulnerable in their songwriting.
Tim: What brand of music do you make?
Olivia: Electro Pop Soul
Tim: How many EPs or LPs do you have out?
Olivia: I have an album "I Need a Minute" coming out November 6th! It's technically my second album but pieces of the first album "All at Once" can only be found on Youtube. I took it down from streaming platforms earlier this year because when new fans come to find my music I want to give them the best of me right up front. The first album was more of a learning experience.
Tim: How does your songwriting process begin?
Olivia: I usually sit down at the keys and punch out a few notes and just repeat those over and over while trying different phrases and melodies until something sticks. Then I send ideas to my songwriting partner Riiza and we start to build on that.
Tim: What is music to you and what do you hope to achieve with your brand of music?
Olivia: I just want to make people feel. Music helps me express my feelings in a way that I can't through words. I think that's common for a lot of us.
