It made no sense, and yet nothing was done about it. The rest of the Commonwealth stayed silent and watched, fully believing that the same thing couldn't possibly happen to them. Look what happened to Canterbury. Look what happened to Winchester.
There's this cultural Amnesia in the CMC that quite frankly is dangerous. Zephra's rabid expansionism leaves none of us safe in this system so long as it goes unchecked. Nobody questions Zephra's motives, nobody challenges the mass displacement, nobody really acknowledges that anything is happening at all.
