Well, well, well. I’m a day late to ‘Track of the Week’ but for good reason, I promise!
You see, I’ve been torn between 2 songs and so why not just bless you with both this week…. You’re welcome! (I reckon though, if it really were a life or death situ, I’d have gone for this cheeky little number).
This week has been a big listening week. All but one of my housemates have oh-so-selfishly upped it and gone home for the Easter holidays, but alas, the artist I manage (Greta Lovisa on Spotify) is in studio on Easter weekend and so I’m staying put here in Liverpool. That said, things have been much quieter and so music has been playing pretty constantly and I’ve stumbled across some gems. Most of them have been a little more upbeat than I might usually have gone for, and I can only put this down to the gorgeous T-SHIRT weather that is blessing us at the moment. For those of you living the dream out in California, let me contextualise. As soon as it hits 19 degrees in England, shorts, sunnies, tank tops, and day-drinking commences. It’s really rather nice, but I suppose for you lot, you probably might think that is coat weather! Long story short, nice weather = upbeat Lizzy = upbeat music. It’s a simple but effective formula.
Anyway, I digress. ‘Where I Roam’ is a song by an Irish band formed in 2011. This is a song is simply gorgeous, especially with the addition of Julia Spanu on Vocals. A super cool fact I found out was that the band asked fans to feature on their upcoming single. The end features these loyal fans singing along. This is especially gorgeous to hear about during Corona season. Music really does bring people together, hey!
