No group signifies the laid back, sunkissed 70s better than the Eagles. Their crystalline harmonies, stellar musicianship and satisfying lyrics make them one of the best rock bands of all time. Of their countless hits, "Peaceful Easy Feeling" is one of their most edifying and glowing. Written by Jack Tempchin, it was the third single released from the band's debut album, Eagles, and remains one of the band's most popular songs.
With Glenn Frey on lead vocals and the backup vocals of Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, "Peaceful Easy Feeling" defines the sound of the Eagles, which is complex in its simplicity. This is the kind of song you relax, kick back and have a cold one to while watching the sunset. If sunshine could be embodied, it would be the words of this mellow tune. It doesn't get any better or more easygoing than this timeless classic.
