You might not have heard of The Dumplings but they are the hottest thing in Polish Music right now, with their quirky, comfortable indie that is beyond pleasant and beyond delight to a space where you can let go into the shadows but always find your footing. Nie Gotujemy is quite possibly their most famous song released as a lead single for their album Sea You Later and album where you literally float abound on sound saves.
Nie Gotujemy approximately translates as ‘We don’t cook’ and the lyrics seem to speak of the imperfections millennials have but something about it just seems ok and the little bumps in the road are celebrating in this chilled out track. I’ve chosen this song to not only broaden horizons into Polish indie but to be the post-gig tune for the DJ where you can still move and groove but things are being slowed down. A friend of mine from Poland put this song on at a social night and everyone slowed down their dancing and really felt engaged in the floating of the song. This is a song for a start of the comedown to lead you down the garden path to slowly release that excess adrenaline after a heavy night out.
